Dennie Wright

Dennie is in his 15th year as an associate at Evergreen, a meat cutter in Indian Valley since 1965  and is straightforward about what he likes about his job.

"I enjoy cutting meat and working with the customers," he says while deftly cutting some pork chops. "We've got a great team, we all get along real well and we take pride in our work."

When he's not behind the counter, Dennie enjoys firefighting and rescue-work with the Indian Valley Fire & Rescue team,  Dennie is an avid snowmobiler and once in awhile he gets out to fish streams and lakes he has fished since childhood. "I actually know where the fish are" he laughs.  Dennie has also enjoyed being a produce manager at Evergreen and he is also an experienced farm slaughter expert. Dennie began his grocery career in 1965 with Z Market, and for many years was the Head Meatcutter at the B&E Market in Greenville.

Evergreen IGA's meat department carries a large variety of USDA lean & healthy Select Meats, in addition to fresh Foster Farms Chickens, buffalo, lamb and pork.

“Our Beef is preservative free, “ Meat Manager Dennie Wright says. “We carry select beef beef and we receive fresh meat four times per week.” 

With our experienced butchers the Evergreen IGA Meat Department can special order whatever you need and have the skill to actually cut the meat to your specifications. In the days where many retailers don’t have a real butcher its nice to know that Evergreen IGA can still cut meat the old fashioned way; just the way you ordered it!

Our experienced team includes meat cutters Angie Clark, Steve Taddei, and occasionally recently retired Jim Schager. Our staff is supported by Dwight Nelson, Terry Hansen and new apprentice Brandon Pack.
